Fusion – Well

For the duration of one night the defect Friedrich-Kracht-Water-Fountain in the city center of Dresden was brought back to life via foam- light and sound-installation. The used foam machine fi lled up the entire well with soap foam. The foam was being used to amplify the colored LED lights. The LED lights pulsated in the rhythm of the range of a human breathing rate and the additional very intense bass sound resembled the possible range of a human heartbeat. The breathing rate increased till the maximum at the middle of the performance and so did the “heartbeat”. After 12 minutes all the rhythms slowed down till the last bass beat silenced and the last LED light faded.

This project was implemented during the Day of the open Memorial in Germany in 2021 and it was funded by the Department of Culture and Memorial Preservation of the City of Dresden, Saxony, Germany
